[Round #7 for Group #1]
Excess didn't bring success. Excess brought devastation. The primeval rainforest was burning, the rockslide altered the shape of the slope that must have remained intact for millennia. The ledge Lydia had been on collapsed and there was no certainty whether she survived the avalanche [Lydia is MIA, Group #1 is one initiative slot less.]. If this was the cost of dislodging the drug cartel from Caladan's most important natural preserve and the protected habitat of the Muadh, then it was a price so steep Ambrose might be having second thoughts whether it was worth paying, whether they had missed a gentler way at some point. Especially that he saw it all from this thopter, the panorama of destruction. That included the destruction of all functional fortifications, a silver lining. [No static defensive bonuses from terrain for the mercs from now on.]
And nothing Ambrose had done had prevented the mercenary force from being reinforced at the pass. 11 gunmen joined the fray, in semi-tactical distances to prevent him from targeting them en masse. [They are Extreme from Dominic and Bernard, Long from Hadrian, Medium from other Mercs, Close from Ambrose.]
Initiative:
2eA 2 successes

[New Initiative Order]
Mercs x 3
Marauders x 3
Mercs x 11
Marauders x 1
The guy who had been arming himself with a portable ground-to-air rocket launcher for the past turn was now ready to fire. However, his lack of training in this particular equipment worked to Ambrose's advantage. He immediately sought a modicum of cover afterwards.
Shooting at Bravo's Fore.:
3eA+1eC 0 successes, 2 advantage

[2 Advantage to boost their next roll.]
His boldness, however, inspired other mercs to act decisively. The commander, who couldn't regain clear vision yet, grabbed the crouching woman and pulled her to the tripod to take over their key firing position, pointing at Hadrian. [Pull from prone, pass weapon, at 8 Strain].
"Shoot him!"
The woman had little gunner experience and had much smaller frame to hold onto the monster, but didn't question the order [Manoeuvre to Aim]. She just moved the viewfinder on Hadrian and set the repeater on autofire...
Some of the bullets flew wide. But not all of them.
Shooting at Hadrian. Autofire. Cumbersome.:
3eA+2eB+3eD 2 successes, 1 advantage

[Hadrian is hit for 14 Damage w/ Pierce 1 and Vicious 1. Autofire not triggered.]
The machine fire tore into his chest, plucking out small plumes of blood like spews of water when the ice sheet cracks. The impact should have felled him. And yet, he stood.
[11/12 Wounds after Soak.]
[Marauders' turn!]
