He nodded, “Let’s go then.”

The two of them would then return to the group with heightened intensity and pace.

Just then, Efren had an impression he'd just heard some distant voices coming from deeper in the jungle...

After a moment, Eileen, making a short break in her tree-cutting, would hear it too...

[Eileen Marsh]

Could be friend, could be foe, better not take chances. Eileen quickly prepared her bow and notched an arrow before going to use the forest she'd been hacking as cover to hide.

Cuyler returned her attention to the generators, trying to gather whatever would be needed to get one of them working.

Many hours of arduous work, by rough assessment.

Hopefully, someone in the other group would be more capable of making repairs. Until they arrived, she got to work.

[Efren Lanville]

Efren motioned for Kiran to conceal themselves the best they could and began looking towards the noise.

[Razar Lanville]

Razar observes Cuyler as she works and watches around the thopter for any threats, waiting for Efren and Eileen to get back with any news. He does his best to assist Cuyler, but much like her, mechanics is not his forte. "So we're seeing fluctuating electromagnetic interference with the comms and power? I'm curious if we're being exposed to radiation of some sort right now? Are you feeling okay?"

She nodded. "My theory, for the moment, is that there's a strong electromagnetic field in this area. It affects the weather, the wildlife and our equipment. But, I have no idea what the source is. It could be created by some technology, but it would need to be something that's been consistently active for a long time. Perhaps there are minerals in these cliffs that cause it. It could even be biologically created, but that would require massive creatures."

[Kannon]

Eileen, Efren and Kiran, once attuned to differentiating between the sounds of the forest and what alerted them, could indeed hear voices in the distance. They seemed to be... a regular conversation.

Eileen moved in closer, ears perked. She was ready to put an arrow into one of these people's throat should they reveal themselves to be smugglers.

Efren watched until he saw Eileen meet up with the other Thopter team.

Seeing that everything was alright he continued on to Razar to report what he and Kiran had found.

"We should put together a team and go investigate as quickly as possible. Last we saw there were animals eating some of the remains and the tracks we spotted were rather fresh."

He then continued, "I'll go. Who else is ready to come with me?"

[Lydia Storm]

"How far is it? What kind of tracks, animal or human?" Lydia looked in the direction of the two who had returned.

"A short distance away. A gorge that leads down in the direction of the bodies. Fresh cut marks from blades, so human." He replied.

"The other thopter crew has also found us. Eileen Marsh is talking with them now. They'll probably be here shortly."

[Lydia Storm]

There was a small narrowing of her eyes.

"I see. Once the other group arrive I can go with you as cover it needed."
